There is no one way to be a pup or handle a pup.
--Cooper
There are pups and handlers who will tell you one way to do it and there are others who will tell you many other alternatives. The key is to find the way that makes you (or your pup) happy, wag, and feel most comfortable.
For some, it is a purely social thing - a way to meet people, socialize, hangout, engage with others. For others, it is purely sexual and part of BDSM-type play. And for others it is a blend of both.
If someone tells you pup play has to be a certain way, proceed with caution; it may be the case that for them it has to be a certain way and therefore they want you to engage with them in that way. That's fine, but if it is not something you are comfortable with, keep looking for people who want to do it the way you do - you will be likely to find it out there!
Get out there and WAG MORE, GROWL LESS!
